Here's an Ophelia adaptation.  By the time I got to Ophelia, I wanted nothing to do with this assignment.  Disregarding her, I'm happy with how the background turned out.

Creativity Strangled.

     In response to the talk given by Larry Lessig, my initial reaction deals with the first reference to John Philip Sousa.  I used to babysit for my grade school music teacher.   She performed with her husband in a band that strived to recreate the Sousa music, concert, and experience.  So, I am familiar with Sousa and his generation of thought.  [ www.upperdarbysousaband.com]

     The videos incorporated to the presentation were funny but the Jesus one made me a little uncomfortable because I belong to the Roman Catholic faith.

     I was really impressed with Lessig's speaking skills and his thought process.  He was very engaging and the talk was cohesive.  My favorite line of the presentation was made in reference to my generation: "They live life knowing they live against the law."  It makes me feel as if my friends and I have a really bad ass edge against the world.

I redid my verbal self-portrait and this is how it turned out. The two statements I used for this image are located above.

We had to trace over a photograph of ourselves in Illustrator and make the background be where we were from.

Here is my verbal self-portrait.  The text is an unrestrained channel of thought, and therefore describes my sense of self.  I used the type-path tool and added a few shapes for visual aiding.
